What is Voicemail Drop in RealtyCoworker?

Voicemail Drop in RealtyCoworker is a ringless voicemail tool for real estate agents and brokers. You upload a pre-recorded MP3 or WAV message, add it as a step in any automation, and RealtyCoworker places it in the contact's voicemail without a live conversation. Use it only with contacts who gave consent for prerecorded calls. Delivery depends on the carrier and is not assured for every number.

What’s inside

Everything in Voicemail Drop.

  1. How a voicemail drop works

RealtyCoworker places one call to the contact's number, then a second call right after that routes to voicemail, where your recording is left. The contact's phone is designed not to ring, and nobody has to pick up.

On the job: Your recorded thank-you lands in an open house guest's voicemail while you are locking up the listing.

  2. Your own voice, recorded once

Record the message on your phone or computer and upload it as an MP3 or WAV file. Exporting at 64 kbps gives the best playback. You can play the file back inside the step before you save it.

On the job: Record a 25-second message for new online buyer inquiries and reuse it every day.

  3. A step in any automation

Voicemail Drop is an action you add to an automation, next to texts, emails, tasks and waits, so it fires on the trigger you choose.

On the job: Day 1 text, Day 2 email, Day 3 voicemail drop for a new seller lead who has not replied.

  4. Triggered by real moments

Start a drop when an appointment is marked as a no-show, a form is submitted, a tag is added, or a lead goes quiet for a set number of days.

On the job: A buyer misses a consultation and gets a friendly reschedule voicemail an hour later.

  5. Callbacks land in one place

When a contact calls back, the call rings your business number and is logged to the same contact record with the rest of the conversation.

On the job: A past client calls back about a refinance question and you see your voicemail step right above the call.

    Explore Conversations
  6. Automation history

The automation history shows when each Voicemail Drop step ran for a contact. Carriers do not always report delivery, so confirmation is not available for every message.

On the job: Check that last week's anniversary drops ran for all 40 past clients.

  7. Sending limits that grow with you

New accounts start with a daily sending limit that can rise as the account builds a usage history. Drops are billed at usage rates.

On the job: Start with your warmest list, then expand to your full past-client database.

How agents use it

Voicemail Drop, on a real workday.

  1. 1

Speed to lead without the phone tag

Pair an instant text with a short voicemail in your own voice, so a new inquiry hears from a real person even when you are with another client.

  2. 2

    Rescue no-shows

When a consultation or showing is marked as a no-show, a reschedule voicemail and a booking link go out automatically.

  3. 3

Stay top of mind with past clients

Drop a home anniversary or market update message to past clients who opted in, and let the callbacks come to you.

FAQ

Voicemail Drop questions, answered.

What is a voicemail drop?

A voicemail drop, also called ringless voicemail, places a pre-recorded message directly in a contact's voicemail without a live conversation. In RealtyCoworker it runs as a step inside your automations.

Is ringless voicemail legal for real estate agents?

Ringless voicemail is legal when used with consent. In 2022 the FCC ruled that ringless voicemail to wireless numbers is a call made with a prerecorded voice under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, so you need the contact's prior consent, and marketing messages need prior express written consent. Do not use it for cold outreach to lists you bought, and check your state's rules. This is not legal advice.

Will every voicemail be delivered?

No. Delivery depends on the contact's carrier, device and voicemail setup, and some numbers will not accept a drop. Test the step with your own number before you send to a larger list.

What audio file do I need?

An MP3 or WAV file, exported at 64 kbps for the best playback. Keep it short, say who you are and why you are calling, and leave a callback number.

How much does a voicemail drop cost?

Voicemail Drop is included in both plans, and each drop is billed at your plan's usage rates. Lift Off has lower usage rates.
